This cabin is one of the sites for the subscription service "SANU 2nd Home" with the concept of “Live with nature.” As the scope of remote work expands and demand for more time spent in nature increases, this service offers such opportunities to more people. SANU means "summit" in Sanskrit. The cabin’s mountain-like shape incorporates the honeycomb structure of beehives to strengthen the structure. The area inside the cabin is divided by gently curved walls that are both organic and soothing. Because each area is partitioned, the layout is clutter-free and neat, and the space can be used in accordance with various needs, such as working, resting, and gathering. The main floor-to-ceiling window seamlessly connects the room with the surrounding nature, and the fragrance of wood in the cabin and surrounding trees generates phytoncide, which has relaxing effects. The design of the cabin, including the creation of curved walls by slitting and bending cedar, was made possible via computer technology. Our cabin is designed to make guests comfortable even in the harsh natural environment by utilizing high-quality insulation and vacuum glass with G2 class insulation. The slit walls reduce reverberation sounds and create a quiet environment conducive to conversation. In Japan's humid environment, the high floor allows for air flow underneath, preventing moisture accumulation.
