The house is located in the southern part of the City of
Aguascalientes. One of the design
premises was to take advantage of the spectacular view of the countryside. The project is a one-level development
and is made up mainly of a large entrance plaza converging on the house’s
shared space that contains the family room and the dining room which are
bordered by a portico opening onto a large terrace where3 the pools are. The latter are bordered by the front
wall of the family room.
The private area is made up of five bedrooms with a bath and dressing
room.Each one of them surrounds
an interior patio which, besides being a way of lighting the bedroom hallways,
allows for a micro climate controlled by the gallery around it.
In another part, the service area, the kitchen and its large cupboards
and a laundry are located. The service
area forms part of the patio walls.
It goes directly to the bedrooms and two servants quarters and bathroom.
The Access plaza is bordered by high, solid walls that converge upon a
set of closed hangings that outline front door through plate glass. The countryside’s richness can be
appreciated through the large portico.
The few openings in the building frame precious portions of the
surrounding countryside. The
autonomy and freedom of the volumes formed on the façade allow for great
potential expression.
The use of color affirms the building’s presence in the
countryside. The freedom of design
and outline of the parameters distance this work from any compromise.
