Our latest office project where we transformed square meters before occupied with paper and archive into profitable square meters better spent under a paperless culture.
The void and savings.
Today, many offices are saturated with paper and documents . We found ourselves with a real estate company full of high density filing, poor light and little spaces .
Our goal in counterproposal of their current state : to create an empty feeling maximizing space and re-arranging storage areas. We created a light, white archive perimetral system where all files were hidden . This generated a visual silence and order within the office. When its doors are opened it becomes a game of reflections within the space.
The false ceiling was put aside as an important element for savings.
We took advantage of the existing structure and height leaving facilities and slab apparent in white tone. Polished concrete floors and white walls created a much larger, orderly space feeling thereby improving the quality of life in our users .
We transformed square meters before occupied with paper and archive into profitable square meters better spent under a paperless culture.
“Sunlight Disinfects . " ( African proverb ) .
We introduced all of the private offices views on the perimeter to the inner core , leaving the interior with completely transparent glass facades, in order to harness maximum natural lighting . With this we gained significant energy savings and stimulated the visual connection and collaboration between managers and employees.
We framed the entire perimeter panoramic view from private offices to the city and transformed the dark center space inside into a light extension of the exterior.
Trough indirect lighting we accentuated the absence of false ceiling and the void of space. The fluorecentent lighting warmth simulates natural light and improves user performance by creating a sense of wellbeing.
Central monolith.
A white main volume , located in the center of the offices, as a monolith lost in an island , releases all circulations and includes the main meeting room.
To improve operations and streamline processes , two faces of the blind monolith, saved much of the file storage, which can be accessed by two internal facilities surrounding the volume linearly.
The office circulation works as a perimeter ring around the monolith .
It is formed by repeating white doors hiding files accessible from all important points in the office.
