This new community center in New Orleans’ Lower Ninth Ward will provide area residents with a variety of services such as a primary care health clinic, senior center, multi- purpose gym with theater stage, youth center with classroom, game rooms, pool, dance and art space, administrative areas, and a New Orleans Police Department sub- station. Due to multiple federal funding sources (FEMA and Community Development Block Grants) the facility must be housed in two distinct structures: a 51,000 SF community center, and 12,000 SF natatorium.
