The four-story 200,000 SF Mesa College Mathematics & Natural Sciences features interdisciplinary learning environments for the departments of Mathematics, Physical Science, Biology, and Chemistry.
The building footprint creates a student courtyard featuring artistic elements evoking the natural sciences and natural light for the labs and offices. The rooftop includes specialized spaces, such as a greenhouse and an astronomy area. The building consists of instructional, computer lab, and teaching lab classrooms as well as faculty, staff, and administrative support spaces.
In addition to cutting-edge technology throughout, the complex includes numerous study spaces where featured glass walls were used to draw formulas for interactive study.
The building, along with its associated site enhancements, embraces sustainable design principles and has earned LEED Silver certification.
