Amid the vast hall filled with the energy of people and activities, Sama Pavilion stands out as the βheartβ of the spaceβaccommodating a wide range of uses while telling the story of design that seamlessly blends nature with architecture.
The inspiration began with viewing the landscape through an architectural lens. The design team extended the flowing lines of the landscape, rising from the ground plane into rhythmic, alternating steps that serve as seating, play areas, and exhibition spaces without interruption. Every square meter, crafted by the projectβs lead landscape architect, is thoughtfully intended to make the βspaceβ a medium for meeting and exchange.
The pbm architectural team adopted the octagonal formβan iconic feature of the original landscape designβand reinterpreted it as the pavilionβs main structural language. This transforms the structure into a living form, creating a harmonious conversation between nature and architecture.
The selected materials convey both simplicity and modernityβwood for warmth, glass to invite light and views, and polycarbonate panels for their lightness and translucency, reflecting a flexible design concept ready to support diverse activities. At the same time, lighting design accentuates the architectural lines, adding depth and a contemporary touch that enhances its appeal by day and night.
Thus, Sama Pavilion is more than just a small architectural insertion within a large hallβit is a βcentral spaceβ that revitalizes the venue, inviting people to gather, connect, and create new experiences, embraced by nature and the harmony of thoughtful architectural design.
