Sales Tax Academy designed to compliment the mountaineous region that spans over the Bhor ghat, Sahyadris and Western Ghats.
Efficient use of contours to create multiple levels within built forms creating sheltered outdoor spaces. A courtyard acts as a catchment area for surface – level winds and also remains a source of light for the spillover spaces of the built mass surrounding it.
Use of intermediate spaces between two or more built masses along a longitudinal thread to form a linear sequence of spaces. Hierarchy in the pedestrian walkways through landscape and building elements creates varied experience. Monumental architectural elements such as Obelisk to be placed at vital locations on the pedestrian axis. The design evolves through a central axis along which the built mass are interlinked with intermediate spaces, which further interflows into the recreational spaces before terminating into the residential spaces.
