Saga Blind: A permanent land art installation suspended above an agricultural drainage trench at the Baer Art Center in Hofsos, Iceland. The baldacchino-like form of the hunting blind provides shelter from the external elements and visually erases part of the extensive Icelandic horizon, highlighting, re-creating and commemorating the saga of Karlinn+Kerlingin. All construction materials (and ferry rock) were recycled from the farm site and re-constructed using vernacular building methods.
