A micro-mosque designed for elderly residents in the parking garage of an existing apartment complex. A community-oriented project under the DesignAccess initiative, the entire project took three weeks from conception to realization within a constrained space and budget. Basic materials and techniques were adapted from other disciplines such as soft furnishing and tailoring, to carve out a small mosque that would serve as a space to pray taraweeh, the additional late-night congregational prayer during Ramadan.
