This project addresses the current problems faced today by the huge numbers of injured and wounded servicemen andwomen in modern conflicts offering them a safe, beautiful and functional place to be during their rehabilitation process whileresponding to the site, environmental conditions and the inhabitants needs. The site is idealfor a military rehabilitationprogramme thanks to its isolated location and accessibility by air, road or water. The building itself capitalises on thepanoramic views over the Mersey thanks to its full height double skin facade enveloping the entire structure, serene viewsbeing an instrumental factor in the rehabilitation of military victims. The internal environment is regulated by a naturalventilation system, aided by the aerofoil roof form double skin facade and high thermal mass of the concrete structure,making the recovery process of the residents as comfortable as possible.
