The exhibition gallery draws inspiration from the inherent versatility of rugs, embracing their transformative potential beyond traditional use. Rugs are not just carpets; their folding, layering, and placement redefine their purpose as sculptural art, wall decor, or even functional furniture. Reflecting this adaptability, our stall design incorporates fluid, curved walls that symbolize the fluidity and organic nature of rugs.
The curved layout creates a free-flowing space that encourages visitors to move organically rather than follow rigid pathways, offering a dynamic yet intuitive spatial experience. The composition of rugs on the walls adds a sense of direction and cohesion while maintaining the open, welcoming atmosphere.
Sustainability is at the core of our design. Every material used for construction, is chosen for its potential to be reused or repurposed after the exhibition. Our aim is to create a thoughtful, inspiring space that celebrates the beauty of rugs while embodying sustainable practices.
We are finishing our walls using flexi ply which will be repurposed for future projects, ensuring it remains in use. Internally, the structure is of re-used M.S fabrication, aligning with our focus on sustainability by giving these materials a second life.
The props incorporated in our stall are natural materials such as dried sand, sandstone, bark, and live plants. These materials are used in their original, unaltered form, highlighting their inherent beauty and texture while reflecting our commitment to sustainability. We are also using paper mache balls as props for one of our themes instead of plastic or thermocol balls. These paper mache balls are crafted with minimal materials and chemicals, require less energy and manpower to produce, and align with our sustainable approach.
To avoid the use of paint, we are covering the exterior walls with rugs and using low VOC paint for interiors. This not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also ensures the health and well-being of visitors by eliminating the potential for harmful chemicals; additionally, it will be reused after the exhibition, further extending their lifecycle. Furthermore, the flooring carpet will also be reused. By avoiding synthetic or processed components, we ensure that our stall remains eco-friendly and harmonizes with nature, aligning with the principles of a truly sustainable design.
