A total renovation of an old house of a young couple, by heart.
Before the renovation, the couple couldn’t host indoors for the past 40 years living in the house. They didn’t own a proper livingroom, so we changed the wholelayout of the floor to an open plan concept, in which there is a nice and functional kitchen, dining area and a wide livingroom. The staircase became a visual and functional sculpture in the space, as it should.
The changing of the layout forced us to add construction beams to reinforce the house and we choose to use it in the design.
The couple’s love for nature and rustic materials followed the design throw the whole house.
The owner wanted to take part in a project, that’s how we made the Eucalyptus dining table. He made the top and I made the legs construction.
