The exhibition
rack recovers the silhouette of different furniture typologies mixed into its
construction: low tables, drawer chests, showcases, armoires and canopies; with
ornamented baroque symmetries that come from the bi-dimensional fusion of the
heraldic symbols present in the wall, along with everyday life elements that
perhaps, in a parallel universe, could be part of a contemporary heraldry, that
in its infinite intersections become a sort of “Rorschach Test” in which all
the elements are subject to the interpretation of the observer. In this test
however, the ink stains are substituted by Masisa’s MDFDeco panels traced with
a CNC Router, an iterating and contradictory reference between technology and
tradition. The naked edges of the MDFDeco pieces show the reality of the
processed material, which nonetheless reminds of the nobility of a material
such as natural wood, finely covered in a synthetic gold leaf that again refers
to history with modern techniques.
