After planting a several-acre vineyard, growing their own grapes and making their own wine, the homeowners decided to build their dream home next to the existing house on their Round Top, Texas ranch. Inspired by Old World vineyard estates, the new stone house will connect to the existing one with a dog-trot style entertaining area complete with outdoor kitchen. The main floor features a large great room with wooden trusses and a large veranda for more living and entertaining space outdoors. The lower floor houses a wine cellar and tasting room, while the upper floor contains two guest bedrooms for the couple's grown children.
