This duplex apartment was commissioned by a couple in their early 60s,
who moved from a suberbian semi-detached house to a new condominium
tower, the kind that adorns the Tel-Aviv skyline in recent years.The apartment was bought bare, without any interior partitions or materials other than the concrete skin, as the proposed plan offered by the building company was deemed as too conventional and claustrophobic by the clients.Emphasizing the client's desire to feel 'at home' in a condominium tower, after having lived in a house for their entire life, we opted for a design that would combine maximum exposure to the spectacular sea and mountain views, while keeping the living space as open and opulent as possible. Enhancing the double-height over the living area and balcony, 18' glass openings allow for the views and the light to filter in, creating an uninterrupted, naturally lit and calm living environment.דירת 5 חדרים בשטח של

ברעננה לאחר שכל ילדיהם עזבו את הקן המשפחתי. בני הזוג ביקשו להנות משלב ב' בחייהם
בסביבה מוגנת ונוחה, קרובה יותר לתל-אביב ופתוחה לנוף מרהיב של הרי השומרון ממזרח
והים ממערב. בפנייתם אלינו הביעו את רצונם לגור ב'וילה בשמיים' ולתכנון דירה מרווח
בחלל אחד פתוח, שונה מהותית מתכנון הדירה שהוצע ע"י חברת הבנייה.
התכנון החדש החל לאחר
מסירת הדירה ללקוחות בצורת מעפת חיצונית בלבד, לאחר שויתרו לחלוטין על כל חלוקה
שהוצעה להם עפ"י חוזה הקנייה. הדירה תוכננה כולה סביב מרפסת הגן המקורה ונעשה
שימוש מקסימלי בחלל הכפול בסלון, המשמש כתווך בין איזור השינה של הבית, דרך המטבח
ופינת האוכל, לבין יחידת האורחים והמרפסת המקורה, המשמשת כהמשך ישיר של חלל האירוח
והמגורים.
