This apartment is located in one of four residential towers along Main Street on Roosevelt Island. Its interior design reflects the outlines set by Roosevelt Island master planner Philip Johnson, and the building’s architect, Josep Lluis Sert. The shape of the apartment—its terrace and sight-lines—is used to direct the placement of the living and dining areas, home office, and bedroom. Inside the entrance, a flight of stairs leads into the center of the apartment. All around, dark carpeting covers the floor as well as seating and bed platforms lining the perimeter.
