We live in increasingly large cities where the lack of green spaces is a problem. However there is a real reserve of usable area on the rooftop buildings. This is a rooftop in the heart of a block in the middle Pocitos neighborhood in Montevideo. The owners of the apartment below had the need to improve the thermal insulation and saw the opportunity to generate an outdoor social area in this utility space. There are about 35m2 of deck in CCA pine. The railing, benches with storage place, and planters for orchard an organic garden where constructed with the same material. The project was completed with electrical installation, water supply and a barbecue.
