RBA were commissioned to redesign and reapply for approvals for conversion of a roof space into a large maisonette and two smaller units. RBA were further commissioned to provide detail planning and site supervision services. Apartments are to be to a high standard fitting for the sought-after location in Berlin-Friedenau.

An interesting aspect of the project is the fact that the existing low-pitched roof is to be removed and replaced by a two-storey mansard. A new lift to the rear of the building provides access to both of the new levels. The maisonette has an area of approx. 200 m². A fireplace is planned for the two storey living area with open gallery and the 'tower room' has a high cupola, a private terrace and looks onto the two storey living space.
