The concept starts by understanding the location's context where it is located in the second floor of a building in a business district area. Early challenge was the position of existing building columns which are immovable and are unable to be destructed.

We come up with a solution by camouflaging every each one of columns structure by shaping the layout and cover the columns using wall partition so then "stack's column in the middle of room" impression would be dissipated by a lot.

By camouflaging the existing building columns, it also makes possible to shape needed spaces such as coffeebar, communal space, display area, storage, and seating area. The most obvious one would be the two building columns which is covered using plywood and arrange it to become a shelf of the coffeebar.

Next challenge would be the position of the coffeebar where it is located not far away from the existing pre-built building toilet. The clean water pipe and the sewer pipe force us to create another illusion by making a raised floor and hide those pipes under the raised floor from bar area to the toilet. This was mandatory to be performed as we are forbidden to rework the original floor of the building.

This is a collaboration project of 2 local brand of a coffee roastery and a pastry. We implement a minimalist concept with minimal color and texture such as white wall and wood without ornament. The wood texture implemented for this project is based on an exposed plywood material with natural finishing.

On the communal area, frosted glass is placed to create a blurry images when people see through it as it implies a sense of privacy. There are also seating area in the corner of the glass which offers a view to outside landscape and a beautiful sky during sunset time. Stretch ceiling light over the bar implies the main area of a coffeeshop, a coffeebar.
