Formerly known as GM Place, Rogers Arena was designed as a multi-sport venue to accommodate both the city’s NHL team, the Vancouver Canucks, and the former NBA team, the Vancouver Grizzlies.
The venue hosted all ice hockey events for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.
The arena needed to incorporate the City’s overall urban and pedestrian plan for the downtown core. Located near major roadways, a busy financial district and an existing spectator stadium, it was of the utmost importance to develop an arena concept that would invigorate this section of the city.
The 19,000-seat multi-purpose facility accommodates a variety of activities including concerts, conventions, trade shows, tennis matches, boxing events and business and social functions.
Our team provided full architectural and interior design services, providing site selection, programming, marketing of corporate suites, club seats, and corporate sponsorship activities.
