Nested on a beautiful forest with mature trees, this house is an exercise of public/private nature. The client requested to maximize the openness of the house without sacrificing privacy. The other very important task as designer, was to capture the amazing views from the existing house. In that regard we moved the vertical circulation to allow a more open plan on the social areas that will become the focus of the house. The kitchen/dining area was also moved to a more prominent location with views to the forest. In the new second floor the new Master Bedroom was located with a balcony for those gorgeous starred nights and enjoy the summer breezes.The exterior wood cladding was used to blend with the wooden context.The renovation doesn't sacrifice exiting greenery.
