This small apartment in a new building (50m2) in a house on the banks of the Dnieper in the capital is intended for renting out.
We were faced with the task of creating a project that meets the conditions of the rental housing market, comfortable, convenient with a pleasant visual effect. The apartment should be easy to maintain and repair, and the cost of repairs should be commercially justified. We decided to focus on the option that does not involve complex preparatory and finishing work. Leaving some architectural materials exposed, this modest square has taken on a certain monumental significance. We painted the ceiling and walls in white and gray with a touch of olive. For those walls that needed finishing, we chose a natural limestone material that is incredibly practical to use and resistant to damage, creating a favorable microclimate. This decision gave the apartment a certain industrial character, but at the same time airiness and lightness.A sufficient number of storage systems, the use of natural textiles, plants, decor made the apartment cozy and "domesticated" in the Scandinavian style.
The main accent of the apartment was the decoration of broken porcelain stoneware with slate imitation. The fact that the apartments immediately found their tenant proves that the customer and I were on the right track.
