RiverPark is an upscale new housing complex in Bratislava built in 2010.Located on the Danube riverside, it is not far from the castle and historicstreets of the Old Town. At the same time you can enjoy the river and itsfloodplain forest from the promenade - an extension of an existing downtownpromenade that stretches around the left bank of the river.Originally built with 3 bedrooms, the apartment was adapted to best suit theneeds of its owners. Two of the bedrooms merged into a master suite withcomfortable bathroom and naturally lit walk-in closet.Natural materials - oak wood and porous natural stone are prevalent in theinterior. All the floors are clad in custom made solid oak floor that visually linksall the spaces. Same solid oak treated darker is used for most of the carpentryin the apartment - built in or stand alone. The wood is robust but feels vintageand almost instigates you to touch it and feel the roughness of its surface.Same applies to the stone clad walls - sandstone in the living room andlimestone in the bathrooms. Each slab is of a different thickness thus creatinga play of light and shadows. Highest quality workmanship goes without saying.The prevalent materials are complemented by a choice of furniture and lightingby italian, spanish and czech design labels. These however do not become acenterpiece of the interior that is dominated by wood and stone.
