Located on a triangular site in the center
of the Kingsbury Park re-development, River Village Pointe
is a modernist seven-story glass and brick composition which
takes it cues from the surrounding historic warehouse buildings.
Taking advantage of its unique site, the acute corners are
treated as glass curtain walls with a soaring, sloped roof,
emphasizing its triangular shape and providing unique unit
layouts. The horizontal expression of the masonry is contrasted
with vertical bays of inset balconies with the roof appearing
to float over the structure, providing clearstory windows
to the penthouse level units. The lobby is pulled back at
the corner creating a covered exterior plaza. The project
includes 15% of the units as “affordable” was
designed to LEED certification.
