Pretexted as an ideal beachfront destination comprised of chalets, restaurants, a marina, outdoor showers, beach activities, etc. the River & Sea resort is well niched in a desired location on the Lebanese sea shore amongst other beach compounds.
The initial concept is based on retracing the architectural lines of the existing building’s staggered volumes onto the ground thus to maintain this neat partition and synergy. Perpendicular lines are hence introduced to recreate landscape platforms which are translated into landscape functions throughout the project.
The landscape approach responds to a root extension inspiration as it responds to the need to anchor the building to its environment. The result is absolute synergy between architecture and landscape, a synergy that resonates throughout the entire project.
Private gardens greet you at the entrance whereas lush greenery borders the site soaking it in an exotic tropical ambiance for tenants and visitors to enjoy.
The main swimming pool is situated within the axis of the entrance. In its shallow part, two wooden strips accommodate inviting and relaxing loungers, providing pockets of tranquillity. Planters with tall palm trees and fluffy Pennisetum underneath them are scattered all around the pool. A small island is integrated towards the depth part with loungers and exotic palm trees for those who wish to be transported into the tropics. It is accessed by submerged stairs.
The kids’ pool lies opposite the main swimming pool. Shaded by a bamboo pergola and a white canopy, it provides adequate shading and safety for little swimmers to enjoy their splash while moms tan on the surrounding loungers.
Hidden behind a lush green fence where Metrosideros and colofrul Nerium Oleander intertwine, a private chill out area with inviting Jacuzzis procures a cool, restful and energized atmosphere. And when you work up an appetite, you may refuel at the adjacent pool bar.
Also focused on leisure, beach activities, massage huts and a privy gazebo occupy the beach front for those who wonder away from the hustle and noise.
