RIVE ST. JACQUES - ROERMOND, 2004
Two urban villas with luxury apartments. Sculptures in the parkland surroundings between the rivers Maas and Roer.
Developer Van Pol Beheer has been involved in the redevelopment of the Roer delta for years now. This is a former industrial area between the rivers Maas and Roer, close to the centre of Roermond. Just outside this Area, on the Voorstad St. Jacob, there was a former laundry complex on the banks of the Roer. On this inspiring location we designed two urban villas, each with twelve apartments in the luxury segment. This was no tacked, countable collection of apartments but more resembled a sculpture. This image is reinforced by white stucco work. Thanks to their exceptional location and their unique view, these apartments were quickly sold in the building stage, despite the recession.
