Rishon Lezion "city gate" project offers an innovative program that utilizes an extensive area above and around Ayalon highway. The site is located on a major junction in Ayalon highway that divides Rishon Lezion into the historical city to the east and the new city to the west. The project envisions a new urban space that connects both parts of the city in a vibrant, innovative urban centre that is highly accessible by all forms of public transportation: train, bus, BRT and monorail.
The project forms the foundation for a more sustainable future by offering compact Transit Oriented Design that utilizes to the maximum an already disturbed soil. The project is pedestrian and cycle friendly and offers a variety of green public spaces.
