The whole concept originated from an idea to follow the morphology of Montenegrin coastal towns. The designed facilities were developed on the inherited matrix by grouping new objects in order to create several small intimate squares with the environmental quality characteristic of this region.
Although each square represents an individual section, all of them are mutually connected with the paved stone path running through the whole area, linking all squares into a unique continuous whole. This allows pedestrians to seamlessly move through space and easily find new interesting viewpoints. That way they can discover new squares, places for rest, leisure, and recreation.
With the design of a tourist complex in Risan, Montenegro Salt & Water studio won the 3rd place at an international competition.
