This temporary installation uses reflection and inversion to create an uncanny sensory experience showcasing Richard Chai's collaboration with Palladium. Mirrors line the walls and ceiling of the small exhibition space, and compound the images of the boots featured within.
Vertically, the mirrored surfaces generate a repeating reflection of both viewer and product. The room is both intimate and infinitely large, with every perspective of the boots in view. Horizontally, the room is divided between the actual product above and their ghostly white double below. The focus of the installation is four distinct boots designed by Richard Chai for Palladium, which stand on inverted cast replicas of themselves.
