The Ricasoli duplex house is a compact house with a multitude of different, interconnected environments. The possibilities of using the spaces multiply, the connection of the internal environments with the different external spaces diversifies the use by increasing the perception of the size of the house and its possible uses.
It is no longer a space enclosed in the home, but an environment that projects itself towards the different outdoor spaces, which incorporates them and makes them an integral part of domestic life.
The connection between inside and outside is the key concept on which this house is based, where the study of volumes allows you to guarantee maximum privacy even with the presence of large glazed areas. No critical point of the house is exposed, neither to the road above nor to the sight of the neighbors. The patios shield the living area from the street, while a system of blinds opens or closes the sleeping area giving privacy.
The materials are sincere and long lasting. Dark granite for the lower part, which gives solidity and supports the upper part in concrete, slightly protruding, which opens with large windows towards the hills of Cantù.
