The “R-house” multi-unit residence presents itself as a simple prism. The virtual volumetric subtractions operated on the two short fronts are highlighted by the wthite-to-black color inversion. Large double-height living-rooms with library in the balcony extend beyond glazed openings in each unit with the understated intention of recalling without rhetoric 18th century ball-rooms of European palaces.
