Long-established Christchurch law firm Rhodes & Co. approached Context Architects to evaluate potential tenancies for a post-earthquake home for its business and design an inspirational interior for the selected premises.
Acoustics and privacy were important given the nature of Rhodes & Co.’s business – highly confidential, often dynamic and sometimes combative. Context has delivered both via a timeless design with contemporary bespoke cabinetry and screens that allow in light but shield work areas and deflect noise. The design incorporates the advantages of open plan, with privacy from the unobtrusive but highly designed panelling and creative storage solutions – also vital for their business.
Multi-use spaces create options for quiet and collaborative work and meetings, as well areas that open up for events. The design reinforces the highly regarded practice’s reputation as one of the leading business law firms in the South Island.
