The design features a meandering, transparent wall of faceted glass panels to regulate the scale and arrangement of volumes using principles of harmonic proportions and orchestrated series of events within the circular path, utilizing the notion of light at every juncture to draw the visitor forward. The trading floor, a semi-elliptical pod termed “the cranium” for both its physical location within the space, and for its role as the command center for the operation of the office, becomes theatre-like with a concave wall of monitors supported by freestanding racks surrounding an area of island workstations which face an unobstructed view of the Hudson River.
