Soft Ground ; Melting Pot of All Generations
; Soft Ground is a fun place for everyone. Soft ground is a
dynamic flow of different scales of funs, different types of funs. It works as
a melting pot for all different generations.
- Topological Diversity
Not only providing topographical variations with rising and
sinking ground, but Soft Ground is composed of a number of pieces of small
different topography units. Unit topographies are deformed and rescaled
parametrically according to the entire movement of ground topography.
- Tactile Diversity
The collection of small scale units generates more tighten
and tensioned ground, while the large scale units provides with more loosen and
spongy ground for different activities. The different degree of softness allows
every generation to find their funs from ground with various choices.
- Curating Diversity
Unlike existing playgrounds, activities on Soft Ground are
not specified. It is a field of pods which can contain anything; green, water,
activities….Those pods are filled with people’s activities and grown by people,
thus Soft Ground will be aging with people.
