World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) partnered with HUASHENG MEDIA during "Climate Action Week" recruited art collection under the title of "Climate Action". Ultimately, Atelier FORTH FORCE participated in selecting the artworks and curated the exhibition titled " Rethink The Nature: Mysterious Laputan ". The exhibition features a variety of artwork catagories expressing contemplation of "nature" from different perspectives. Through ingenious artworks, we aim to stimulate visitors to contemplate nature and reflect on human activities – this is the common vision of WWF and all project partners.
An eco-friendly future is the collective aspiration of humanity, so every detail in this exhibition, from artwork selection to scouting the location, spatial design, and material construction, considers the importance of the natural environment to ecology. The exhibition is located in C Future City, Shenzhen, designed by Patrick, the pioneer of vertical gardens, which is an innovative urban complex filled with natural plants.
In terms of this exhibition talking about the design and production details, we chose to use recycled metal as the basis for constructing the space. Each section is segmented into islands in a public space, adorned with sand, rocks, and plants collected from nature to complement the artworks. The original ground of the space is divided into a lake surface, integrating Climate Action Week's promotional messages into the ground in hydrological forms, aligning with the theme while presenting a highly eco-friendly exhibition to the audience, expressing our respect for the natural environment.
