The space was long, narrow and deep, the challenge was to draw pedestrians in from the outside. A dark and moody atmosphere was created by the use of a simple and dark colour palette; timber was the dominant material used, with all natural finishes. The contrast of the white stone and white tile draws the eye to rear of the restaurant where a full sized pizza oven is located.
The project was constructed with form ply for all the joinery and tables, and marble for the counter top. Paint finishes were added to existing concrete walls and recycled timber was added to the dining wall.
