DesignReasons purchased the International Style Home designed by S.Kendrick Lichty in 1948. Lichty received the University of PA Beaux-Arts Award in 1922-1923 and is known for the Times Medical Building in Ardmore, PA. Ruined by the previous architect owners who kept the original details but did not repair the plumbing & electicity. All the wood panels, wood trim, door knobs, fireplace, art deco stair railings, doors, hardware, bathrooms tiles and sinks showers and tubs are now restored to its original. The toilets, a new modern kitchen, plumbing, heating were up-dated to todays standards. A 1000 foot deck, as in Lichty's original plans were completed in 2011. The exterior is all brick and the landscaping gives the essence of the mid-century gardens.
