Starting from an
existing Restaurant (Restaurante do Porto), which was once a landmark in the
city, occupying a plot of 5x60m, we proposed, with a minimal budget, a solution
that explores and reveals the potential of existing spaces (indoor and
outdoor), thus limiting the intervention to a minimum. Acoustic comfort,
lighting (natural and artificial), and the use of recycled materials (scraps of
plywood panels in walls and white marble floors) or recyclable (wood
structures) lead to further research around the themes of sustainability.
