Conceived as an extension of an existing restaurant, this annex is part of an architectural approach that prioritizes natural materiality and openness to the site.
It provides a new direct access to the restaurant while remaining distinct from the entrance to the Hôtel des Bains.
Fully glazed, the structure conveys a warm presence while integrating discreetly into the surrounding landscaped garden.
The largely transparent structure maximizes visual permeability and establishes a direct relationship with Lake Robertville, revealing panoramic views that evolve with the light and the seasons.
This transparency also allows the existing restaurant to extend outward, enhancing the exceptional character of the site.
A covered terrace extends the annex, creating an intermediate space — sheltered yet continuously connected to the landscape — ideal for welcoming guests throughout the year.
In the immediate vicinity, a swimming pool with a double basin reinforces the site’s atmosphere of relaxation and contributes to the overall spatial composition.
The project proposes a sober and contemporary architecture, where wood, glass, and clean lines form a coherent ensemble designed to elevate the experience of the place while respecting its natural identity.
