Miya is a restaurant brand that captures the true spirit of Greece. The first location opened in Kyiv, and the newest project has found its home in the prestigious Bluewaters Dubai district. The concept is inspired by the legend of Miya — a talented Greek woman whose pottery workshop once stood in this very place. This story comes to life in the interior details, creating an atmosphere of warm, genuine hospitality and the relaxed simplicity of the Mediterranean.
The design tells the story of the heroine’s life on the Greek islands: whitewashed walls, accents of yellow clay, warm wood tones, textured surfaces, and a special corner styled as Miya’s workshop, where shelves display ceramic forms as if they have just been taken out of the kiln. Every element speaks of the authenticity of Greek culture.
The team proposed a non-standard approach to organizing the two-level space. In most cases, guests tend to stay on the ground floor, leaving the upper level underused. The solution was strategic — placing the kitchen upstairs. This not only optimized the space but also made the second floor lively and engaging, while maintaining a convenient seating arrangement.
The impressive 5-meter ceilings required a special design approach for the staircase connecting the levels. To avoid a bulky appearance, the staircase was divided into several light, elegant sections. This solution not only visually lightens the structure but also makes the climb more natural and comfortable for guests.
Every detail of MIYA Dubai embodies the spirit of the contemporary Mediterranean: warm Greek coziness paired with refined design solutions. The result is a space that is not only expressive and atmospheric but also carefully crafted for the comfort of every guest.
