The design approach to create a new face for Pushkinsky Cinema can be summarised as follows:
· Ultimate respect was paid to the previous design, avoiding hard interventions to the original and familiar form of the current building.
· A variety of functions were allocated to external spaces around the building, which currently do not have any connection with eachother. This paved the way for establishing a flawless connection among spaces and therefore a building with continuous circulation was obtained. · The symbolic value of the building was supported by colours in transparent sections and by a simple and smooth facade texture in the main body.
