The scope of the project was interior design, architecture, and furniture design for the corporate office of Resort Ventures West and a preview center for the Wildhorse Meadows Development.
The design was to create an environment representing ideas and materials similar to their development, with a unique identity for their company. The program required two distinct spaces: one for the office and one for the preview center.
The entry system is a contemporary glass wall that radiates from a natural steel column, creating two entry locations to the space and separating wall between the spaces.
The track in the preview center radiates from the steel column at the entry creating a defined space as a stage for viewing displays of lifestyle and components of the development.
The steel tracks and wheels are a representation of both the train tracks present in Steamboat and the mountain ski-lift mechanisms. Both are historically significant in the development of Steamboat Springs.
The furniture design represents similar concepts as the space with reclaimed materials, raw steel with contrasting stainless steel connectors.
