The clients needed a space at home to organize their thoughts and work on their different projects. The space needed to create a well organized and uncluttered work enviroment. Having plenty of file storage as well as a library space was an important criteria. Also both husband and wife needed to use the office simultaneously a lot of the time so two desk areas were required. Lighting was also a concern since they have very high ceiling in the space having enough illumination at the work area was desirable.
Etin design created a semaless bookcase and file storage wall unit with integrated LED light strips at the counter level. The built in desk was supported by three Knoll later file cabinets. Three floating shelves can hold accessories, art work and office supplies. The lowest floating shelf is easily reached in a seated position so as to have access to necessary items at arms length and not have too much objects cluttering the work area. Built in LED strip lights illuminate the desk area from two sides.
