**GRAND
PRIX FOR ARCHITECTURE OF THE CITY SKOPJE
2009
The residential house is located on
the hill site Vodno, over viewing the city of Skopje. It has corner location
and when you drive by it, it attracts you. The visual attraction is due to
careful picked materials, and remarkable relation between the usual elements:
composition of the volume, composition and combination of the windows, light,
ambivalent relation of the inside and the outside space which results with
original architectural value of the whole building.
The site is long 29 m and width 17m. The building it self has strait lines and
forms, supplemented by the white facade and black and gray metal elements.
Inside the building has four levels. The basement is for
recreation, and technical services. The ground level is planned for living
room, workspace, kitchen and dining room, where the interior space is divided
by stairs in the middle. Left side is intended for use of guests and the right
side for the family. The first floor is more private and has 3 bed rooms, 2
toilets and small living room. On the last floor, the attic has small
apartment. All “public” rooms, as are living rooms are on the front side on the
house overseeing the street and the city. And on the back side are more
intimate spaces like bedrooms and services like toilets and kitchen.
