The design of this residential home is based on the characterestic of a tent: a roof which provides protection and security on the one side and openness to the desired views on the other side. This metaphor is translated into a plan with a known roof structure. The total volume takes on a frisky character through the specific, guidance-orientated cutting portion. The open side on the garden offers views on the garden and the forrest land located behind it.
Privacy is obtained by the closed volume located on the street side, which is in contact with the street through the recessed facades and window frames. The outbuildings are grouped underneath the same roof, in order to preserve one mail form.
