In a vibrant corner of the city where urban rhythm meets residential calm, a new mixed-use complex has quietly taken root—an ensemble of architecture that weaves together living, working, and community within a thoughtfully designed urban tapestry. Set in an attractive neighborhood, the development balances spatial quality, environmental responsibility, and architectural clarity.
The complex comprises two distinctive yet complementary buildings, each rising from a shared foundation of two subterranean levels that accommodate parking, storage, and technical infrastructure. Above ground, both structures extend across a ground floor and five upper storeys and have flat green roofs, gently sloped to ensure effective drainage.
Facing Topniška Street, Building A unfolds in a U-shaped configuration. Its three wings embrace a semi-private, landscaped courtyard—a green sanctuary reserved for residents, fostering a sense of community and retreat. The street-facing façade steps down in scale, thoughtfully aligning with the surrounding urban context. The ground floor is animated by commercial spaces, activating the street edge, while the upper floors host a diverse mix of residential units, including assisted-living apartments that invite graceful aging within a supportive environment.
In contrast, Building B rises as a singular rhomboid volume—a sculptural, tower-like form dedicated entirely to housing. Its geometry and form subtly differentiate it within the complex, while maintaining a dialogue with its companion through materiality and detailing.
Each residence unit within this complex has been crafted with an emphasis on spatial comfort, daylight, and access to private outdoor areas—be it balconies, loggias, or intimate ground-floor atriums.
Unified by a consistent architectural language, the two buildings form a coherent whole. Their expression is contemporary yet restrained, integrating seamlessly into the urban fabric while offering inhabitants a dignified, energy-efficient, and elevated urban lifestyle. Together, they represent a thoughtful response to the evolving needs of the modern city.
