The leading idea was to create a contemporary place for living that would not only offer the comfort and the privacy of an individual home, but also benefit of additional common spaces.
From an aesthetic point of view, the main feature of this building is the multilayeredness. The use of different materials along with various height regulations and the blend of solid and void, contribute to the authentic and strikig look of the whole building.
The southern facade, which looks towards the river, has larger facade openings in the form of windows and terraces facing a peacefull green area. This facade, due to the authentic layout and ratio of the walls and the apertures, seems to become a symbol which makes this building appealing and noticable.
The building is composed of one underground floor and four floors above the ground designed so that the large apartments face the south, looking towards the river. In the central area of the building the apartments are medium size, while the small apartments are located at the north side of the building. The apartments are provided with two-sided orientation and some with three-sided orientation, that significantly contributes to the quality of living.
When designing the building, special attention was given to the architectural composition of the facades. Considering the wider environment, the aim was to dissolve larger facade planes using different materials, colors and shapes.
The decomposed volume of the building created intimate spaces in a size suitable for the larger terraces with a panoramic view of a river. The asymmetrical disposition of the terraces and the openings contribute to the dynamic aesthetic of the building.
Better connection with the environment was obtained by the two cascaded intertwined parts of the building. Also, the aim of connecting the openings and adding more details was to shred the façade.
Blinds designed on the larger terraces, tend to reduce excessive heating and cooling the souther apartments.
The terrain enabled cascading landscaping with lots of low greenery and medium vegetation.
In addition to the basic contents of residential buliding, the main feature of this buliding is the inner courtyard, equipped with furniture, barbecue area and playground. This common outdoor space is directly connected to the gathering room where tenants can enjoy various social activities.
Special attention was given to the branding of the entire building in the form of signalization and marking of common and individual spaces with specially designed pictograms.
