Urban Villa with a sustainable appearance
This wooden complex is the hub between the new residential area and the Goudse Hout recreational and nature reserve on the north-eastern edge of Gouda (The Netherlands) with a canopy of sustainable wood.
The striking apartment building fits perfectly into this beautiful environment due to its natural appearance and use of sustainable materials.
The five-storey building is structurally horizontal with floors as discs on columns, which are separate from the facade, and a stabilizing core.
This provided the opportunity to design a free facade layout, giving the Urban Villa a contemporary character.
