The specific building regulations allowed the expansion of the residence within the site, enabling a more fluid relationship with the landscape. This vacation house has been treated as two volumes that are separated by a thin slice of air. The upper story accentuates its dynamic character by its slanted side walls. This oblique geometry is echoed in the end walls of the ground floor. Entry is placed next to a semi-transparent layer of u-glass that obstructs direct views into the interior. The ground floor houses the living room, dining room and kitchen in an open arrangement. Adjacent to them are located two bedrooms. In the upper floor, the master bedroom is accompanied by two extra guest bedrooms. The clients have approved, contrary to all expectations, a stark white paving of the garden to match the architecture, instead of the more conventional plantation.
