The main features of the plot, its uninterrupted views and its sharp sloping terrain, combined with the personal needs of the owners led to the creation of a home which when it is seen from the road side seems to be a single storey house, with a notable entrance and an impressive curved protective shell which separates the public space from private.
This shell embraces all functions of the residence. The individual spaces of the house are directed mainly to the south in order to avoid the adjacent building which is a visual barrier to its view.
The daily uses of the house are located about one floor lower than the average street level, linked directly to the outdoors spaces. The entrance is located at the street level in a prominent volume, which in juxtaposition with the connecting bridge is transferring someone from the public to the private area.
The curved wall was exploited in order to create a smooth ramp, passing under the entrance, which guides to the parking area at the daily uses level. The revealing perspective of the ramp gradually unveils the total height of building.
The entrance area allows access to, the rest areas, middle level of the office and to the everyday spaces at the ground floor. Using large windows there was a unification of the interior spaces with outdoors turning inside into outside and vice versa creating an ample spectacular view of the city.
